Roosevelt s New Deal For The American People - 899 Words

Roosevelt took the nomination from the Democrats to become president and pledged to â€Å"a new deal for the American people† and eventually established the New Deal for his campaign. The New Deal attracted support from farmers, factory workers, immigrants, city folk, African Americans, women, and progressive intellectuals. Roosevelt had three interrelated objectives: relief, recovery, and reform. Roosevelt wanted to develop plans to meet economic emergency so the New Dealers’ policies were shaped by four underlying ideas. The first one included Roosevelt and his advisers, who sought capitalist solutions to the economic crisis. Second, Roosevelt had been persuaded that under-consumption was the root cause of the current economic paralysis and that the balance between consumption and production needed to be restored. Thirdly, the New Dealers had believed that the immense size and economic power of American corporations needed to be counterbalanced by government and by o rganization among workers and small producers. Then lastly, they felt that the government must somehow moderate the imbalance of wealth created by American capitalism so that working people could share more fully in the fruits of the economy. The New Deal had established an American welfare that was created to protect the health and well being of its citizens, especially those in financial or social need. The ability for a patient to choose or refuse their healthcare procedures is a common concept that is rarely argued against. The US Constitution protects liberty rights and they are believed to be common law rights. However, in certain circumstances, those rights can be negotiable especially when an individuals’ religious beliefs interferes with a healthcare provider’s ability to implement proper treatment and advocacy for vulnerable patients. Jehovah’s witness’ are a clear example where religious beliefs interfere with appropriate and adequate healthcare from doctors and nurses. This is because their beliefs are often in stark contrast with a doctor or nurses’ obligations as a healthcare provider (Henderson, 2005). An ethical and legal dilemma is created when a Jehovah’s witness refusal for blood transfusions puts a patient’s freedom and autonomy regarding medical intervention against a nurse or doctor’s duty to provide lif esaving treatment. The model which can be used in such kind of distribution is known as spoke model. According to this model the stock is maintained in the middle strategically in such a way it can be transferred all over with minimum transportation cost and other benefits. Before trying to segment the market the first criteria is the need to understand what market segmentation is and why is it done. According to the basic theories mentioned market segmentation is the process where the consumers are being divided or being amalgamated in smaller segment which helps in understanding the market and how to target customers. This will help in calculated marketing rather than doing the trial and error method which is uncertain in nature and the success rate of this method is very little (Hepp et al,m 2014). On the other hand the market which is being segmented helps in identifying the consumers and their need according to the buying behavior of the consumer of a segment.
